HOW
CAN WE HELP
OUR CHILDREN ACHIEVE THEIR GREATEST POTENTIAL?
We try to give them every advantage
– from the best schools and safe, loving homes to ideas and experiences that challenge their potential and reinforce their self-confidence. Teaching them important life skills is another critical component of helping our children assume responsibility for themselves as they mature. We believe that among the most important life skills young adults can acquire are the basic skills to help them manage their money wisely and achieve a lifetime of personal financial responsibility. Learning how to save money, spend it, and share it wisely
– and avoid common pitfalls of debt, unnecessary fees and penalties, as well as the often dramatic consequences of poor planning – are
critical skills that each of us benefits from having.
MONEY MATTERS
FOR KIDS answers
the question asked by so many adults, "Why didn’t someone teach me these things
when I was in school?” Our program educates and empowers
young adults by giving them understandable, actionable
information they can use to appreciate and develop lifelong responsible
financial
habits.
Drawing on effective, time-tested teaching techniques that emphasize student participation and conversational informality,
MONEY
MATTERS
FOR KIDS offers small, informal, interactive in-school seminars led by an experienced financial education expert that provide the relaxed, comfortable environment in which students learn how to take control of their present and future financial well-being.
The sequence of seminar content has been carefully developed to maximize each student’s understanding and implementation of basic financial knowledge through discussions and explanation of relevant Concepts, Tools, and commonly used Financial Terms. Each seminar is tailored specifically to the unique needs and comprehension levels of its students. The content of our program is not designed to offer investment advice, nor is its goal to acquire any assets to manage. We are educators, not money managers.
